Peter Stevenson

I was born and brought up in South Lancashire though spent much of my childhood amongst the choughs and jackdaws, bracken and adders, steamy mists and tempests of Pen Llyn, Cymru. I studied illustration at Manchester Art College, then Folklore postgraduately at Leeds University. Since then, I’ve been illustrating books and wandering the woods, producing many books of Fairy Stories and Nursery Rhymes for Ladybird Books, books by well known authors for Hodder and Stoughton, childrens books for the National Trust, many books of folk tales and Puppet Theatres for Fernleigh Books, and most recently finished my first book in the Welsh Language, called Oes Ben Tylwyth Teg.....all of these and many more can be seen in the Gallery. I have lived the last many years between the trees and the seashore in mid Wales with some spiders and too much chocolate....
